First appointments

A deposit is required for first time appointments.

Cancellation of appointments

If you cannot attend an appointment, we require:

a) For osteopathic appointments, one working days notice of cancellation,

b) for non-osteopathic appointments, two working days notice of cancellation,

otherwise a cancellation fee will be charged.

Payment by credit or debit card

We accept payment by most major credit or debit cards. If you are a new client, a deposit will be debited from your account before your first appointment. Therapy fees and outstanding balances will be debited immediately after your therapy session.

All credit and charge card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. Information about your credit and debit card transactions may be used by the Royal Bank of Scotland banking group and UK credit status agencies for security and credit status purposes. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay, non-delivery or cancellation of our services, treatments or therapies.

  • Always inform your doctor or complementary practitioner of any treatments, medication or remedies, both conventional and non-conventional, that you are taking or intend to take.
  • Please advise your practitioner if you have a sexually transmitted disease.
  • Do not begin a course of complementary therapy without first consulting your doctor if you are pregnant, are trying to conceive or are breast feeding.
  • Consult your doctor before allowing babies or infants to receive complementary treatments as some are unsuitable for small children.
  • See your doctor if your symptoms persist or worsen.
  • You should ensure that it is safe to start a complementary therapy if you are already taking medication or undergoing a course of treatment.
  • Some individual complementary therapies have some additional cautions which are listed at the end of their respective therapy pages. Please refer to these before starting any complementary therapy.

The Greenwich Natural Health Centre Ltd aims to follow the Committee for Advertising Practice Code for health and beauty products and therapies which are listed here:

50.1 Medical and scientific claims made about beauty and health-related products should be backed by evidence, where appropriate consisting of trials conducted on people.  Where relevant, the rules will also relate to claims for products for animals.  Substantiation will be assessed by the ASA on the basis of the available scientific knowledge.

50.2 Marketers inviting consumers to diagnose their own minor ailments should not make claims that might lead to a mistaken diagnosis.

50.3 Marketers should not discourage essential treatment.  They should not offer specific advice on, diagnosis of or treatment for serious or prolonged conditions unless it is conducted under the supervision of a doctor or other suitably qualified health professional (e.g. one subject to regulation by a statutory or recognised medical or health professional body). Accurate and responsible general information about such conditions may, however, be offered.

50.4 Consumers should not be encouraged to use products to excess and marketers should hold proof before suggesting their products or therapies are guaranteed to work, absolutely safe or without side-effects.

50.5 Marketing communications should not suggest that any product is safe or effective merely because it is ‘natural’ or that it is generally safer because it omits an ingredient in common use.

50.6 Marketers offering individual treatments, particularly those that are physically invasive, may be asked by the media and the ASA to provide full details together with information about those who will supervise and administer them. Where appropriate, practitioners should have relevant and recognised qualifications. Marketers should encourage consumers to take independent medical advice before committing themselves to significant treatments, including those that are physically invasive.

50.7 References to the relief of symptoms or the superficial signs of ageing are acceptable if they can be substantiated.  Unqualified claims such as ‘cure’ and ‘rejuvenation’ are not generally acceptable.

50.8 Marketers should hold proof before claiming or implying that minor addictions and bad habits can be treated without effort from those suffering.

50.9 Marketers should not use unfamiliar scientific words for common conditions.
